CAPE COAST – The C-Quansah Foundation, has inaugurated a mechanized borehole at Abowinim community in Cape Coast to mitigate the longstanding water crisis affecting residents.

The project, led by lawyer and presidential staffer Charles Quansah, was officially handed over on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the Taimesase Electoral Area. For residents, it marks the end of long treks for unsafe well water.
“Water is life. This is my way of giving back to a society that has suffered for years,” Quansah stated during the commissioning ceremony. He rooted his motivation in personal experience, recalling water scarcity from his own childhood in Ntsin. “This project aims to alleviate the stress our sisters, mothers, and children face, freeing them from spending hours searching for water.”
Quansah emphasized that the foundation's vision extends beyond water access. “Our focus isn't just providing water,” he said, “but also improving the lot of our youth through jobs and educational opportunities.”
He also acknowledged the persistence of local NDC Electoral Area Coordinator, Henry Johnson White, who repeatedly lobbied the foundation for support. “I sometimes felt disturbed by his incessant calls,” Quansah joked, “but it was all for a good cause. I thank him for his advocacy.”

In response, Mr. White expressed profound gratitude for the project. “I am elated by this honour done for my people,” he said, asking for God's blessings upon Quansah and the Foundation.
The event also drew the support of the NDC Cape Coast South Chairperson, Mr. Korankye Taylor, who praised Quansah’s initiative. “I'm here to support a good course for the development of Cape Coast,” Taylor stated passionately. “Regardless of insults hurled at me, I will not back down from supporting any project that benefits Cape Coast.”
The Abowinim borehole is the third of 13 mechanized boreholes planned by the C-Quansah Foundation. While beneficiaries celebrate their new access to safe drinking water, the community now watches with anticipation, hopeful that the foundation will deliver on its full promise.
