Kintampo - The Overlord of the Wangara people in Kintampo Traditional Area, Nana Yusif Koulibaly Fanyanimah III (Masaaba Sariki Fanyanimah), has invited both foreign and domestic tourists, highlighting that Kintampo is one of the most peaceful and attractive destinations in Ghana. He encouraged everyone to visit and enjoy the experience .

In an interview with Ghana Television (GTV) at his palace on Thursday, October 2, 2025, Nana recounted some of the historical relics that visitors would have the privilege to see when they visit Kintampo, mentioning other attractions that would astonish tourists.
Historically, he revealed that during the colonial era, the West African Frontiers Forces - more commonly known as the Royal West African Frontier Force (RWAFF), a British colonial military force that existed between 1900 and 1960 - presented medals to the Chief of Kintampo for their role in the two World Wars.
"The West African Frontiers Forces were in Kintampo and presented a medal to us during the colonial era when we were part of the West Asante province during the First World War, between 1914 and 1918, and the Second World War, from 1939 to 1945," he highlighted.
Elaborating further on the medals, Sariki Fanyanimah mentioned that the first medal-the Provisional Council Medal-was given, affirming their membership and representation on the Provisional Council during that era. These wonderful accolades were presented to their forebears by Emperor King George VI in recognition of their meritorious service.

Furthermore, the ancestors of Kintampo were presented with another medal, called the Union Jack, by Queen Elizabeth I. This particular medal is common in most paramountcies, especially those recognized by the British for participating in colonial affairs. He challenged viewers, saying, "Apart from watching on TV, anyone who wants to verify the medals can visit our palace and have a look at them," highlighting that there are five colonial medals on display at his palace.
