Over 2000 bags of rice and litres of oil donated by Dr. Minta Nyarku for Christmas support

Cape Coast – In a dual effort to support the less privileged and party executives during the Christmas season, the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North Constituency, Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, has donated over 2000 bags of rice and litres of oil to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), the aged, and National Democratic Congress (NDC) executive officers in his constituency.

The donation exercise, which took place on Wednesday, 24th December 2024, at his residence, aimed to provide sustenance for the underprivileged and the elderly, support Persons with Disabilities, and express appreciation to his constituency executives for their outstanding efforts in securing the NDC's victory in the 2024 general elections.

In his goodwill message to the Constituency Executives, "Ragga," as he is popularly known, expressed his gratitude for their unwavering dedication to the party's cause over the years.

"I personally extend my gratitude to you for your invaluable contributions and diligent efforts in securing the party's victory," he said. "I am here to present you with this token as a symbol of appreciation for your work for the NDC, particularly in ensuring I retained my seat," he stressed.

Speaking on the conduct of party members, especially now that they are in government, Dr. Nyarku urged them to be mindful that their actions could affect the party's fortunes. He encouraged them to exercise restraint and continue working hard, assuring them that opportunities would arise in due time.

"The party has barely spent a year in government," he reminded them. "As your dedicated Member of Parliament, I will endeavour to secure opportunities for my constituents as and when they arise," he emphasised.

Regarding job opportunities, Dr. Nyarku noted that he has already helped secure employment for some constituents and pledged to secure more with their continued support and prayers.

Upon receiving the items on behalf of the party executives, Chairman Pobee, who is also the Dean of all Ward Coordinators, thanked "Ragga" for his consistent annual support and requested his continued backing for impactful leadership. He praised their MP for his unwavering commitment and resilience in the face of leadership challenges.

Mr. Charles Obo, Chairman of the PWDs, expressed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues. "As you have remembered and chosen to celebrate with us, God will also remember you in your times of need," he said.

With the Christmas festivities ongoing and Christ Jesus as the embodiment of generosity, it is hoped that more individuals will follow Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku's example in bringing joy to the underprivileged.
