I’ve scrapped my press conference out of sheer respect for the workers of Radio Gold. These are tough times for them, and I won’t pretend to wail louder than the ones directly hit. But let’s set the record straight, loud and clear.

Now, while the guy in Huntor’s video isn’t Fianko (it’s Kwabena-Adu Ameyaw), make no mistake—Fianko was there, front and center.

2. Fast forward to 2023, and guess who’s steering the Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) project? Fianko again. Pro-NDC stations? Not a single one made it onto the trial platform. Accident? Not likely.

3. Fianko’s influence goes further. At the NCA, he ensures no pro-NDC station’s signal reaches beyond Accra. His Broadcasting Monitoring Center keeps the lid firmly shut.

THE REALITY CHECK

Don’t buy into the hype that Fianko singlehandedly delivered power for the NDC. No one person can claim to have made a president using state machinery. Let’s not forget, Fianko was at the NCA in 2016 and 2020 when surveillance tools were imported to disrupt the NDC’s election result collation. Here’s the real question: What did he do about it?
