The Chiefs, Principal Elders, and by Kingmakers of the Abora Traditional Council have destooled Moses Asamoah, alias Nana Kwaa Amissah II, as Omankrado of Abora Tetsi, effective today, 2nd April 2026.

The decision was communicated by Yamfo Kwegyir XI (Abora Dontsenhen), Okofo Enyimakwa X (Abora Akyeampemhen), Nana Biney II (Abora Twafohen), Nana Kwesi Ankah VIII (Abora Tufuhen), Nana Ansaful VIII (Abora Edzikrohen), and Nana Afransa VII (Abora Manwerehen), on behalf of His Royal Majesty, Emintsinminim Otu XI, Abora Omanhen and President of the Abora Traditional Council.

The destoolment follows charges including gross disrespect, refusal to comply with directives of the Abora Traditional Council, displaying verbal and physical abuse, and fighting with members of the panel that sat on the Omankrado’s case at the Abrankor Palace of the Abora Omanhen at Abora Abakrampa, in the presence of the Omanhen.

The action is said to be pursuant to Section 23 of the Chieftaincy Act 2008 (Act 759), which addresses disrespect to a chief or traditional council and contravention of customary law.

The panel further ordered the citizenry to cease recognizing Moses Asamoah as Tetsi Omankrado and to refrain from any communication with him regarding the Gyaase Division, Abora Tetsi, and the Abora Traditional Council. It was also ordered that all inscriptions bearing stool names, insignia, and Abora symbols be removed from all his buildings, and that any stools in the Omankrado’s possession be removed from the Abora State within 14 days.
