Artiste manager and entertainment personality, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as BullGod, has opened up about his working relationship with dancehall star Shatta Wale, describing him as the most difficult artiste he has ever managed.
Speaking on Primetime with George Quaye, BullGod revealed that his time with the Shatta Movement boss came with countless challenges that nearly strained his professional relationships with industry stakeholders.
According to him, Shatta Wale’s frequent outbursts and public rants often placed him in uncomfortable situations with key industry players he had worked hard to build relationships with.
"Shatta almost made enemies for me with all the big guys I had created a good environment with, just because of his rants,” BullGod disclosed.
He further explained that Shatta Wale constantly generated different controversies, especially during media engagements.
“He always had different issues to discuss anytime he went on radio. He could sit on Peace FM to raise certain matters, and the next day, be on Adom FM addressing an entirely different issue,” he added.
BullGod and Shatta Wale worked together for several years, with the outspoken manager playing a pivotal role in the artiste’s career, including some of his biggest milestones. However, their relationship has had its ups and downs, marked by both public fallouts and reconciliations.
Despite the challenges, BullGod acknowledged that managing Shatta Wale was a unique experience that shaped his career in the entertainment industry.
