Most voters appear to be in favour of key constitutional reforms proposed by the Constitutional Review Commission, according to a new nationwide survey by Global InfoAnalytics.
The poll reveals that extending the presidential term from four to five years is supported by a clear majority of respondents. Fifty-seven percent said they back the proposal, while 36 percent oppose it. Seven percent said they remain undecided.
Respondents also expressed strong support for separating parliamentary duties from ministerial appointments. The survey found that 58 percent of voters favour prohibiting members of parliament from serving as ministers, compared with 32 percent who oppose the measure. Ten percent indicated they have no definite view.
Lowering the minimum age requirement for presidential candidates also received majority approval. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed support reducing the age limit, while 35 percent are against it. Another 10 percent said they were unsure.
The survey was conducted between December 1 and December 21, 2025, using a combination of online, telephone, and in-person interviews. A total of 13,495 registered voters from across the country participated in the poll.
