Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeat sensation Kuami Eugene has opened up about a rather cheeky moment from his past — revealing how he once used his first car to “flex” on an ex-girlfriend who once showed him “shegey.

Speaking in a recent interview on Joy Prime, the Angela hitmaker shared that after being signed by Lynx Entertainment, he quickly rose to fame and wealth, allowing him to purchase his first car — a Hyundai Elantra — at just 19 years old, reportedly at a cost of GHC 45,000.

"I had just been signed by Lynx, and after Angela blew up, I got my first car. I drove straight to Fadama to show it to my mom and family,” he narrated.

But that wasn’t the end of his ride. According to Kuami Eugene, after spending time with his mother, he asked her to wait and then drove all the way to Darkoman, where his ex-girlfriend’s mother runs a beauty salon. His mission? Simple — to honk his horn in front of the salon and get noticed.

"I just wanted her to see me in my own car,” he admitted with a smile. “No talking, I just went to horn. It was the ‘shegey’ she showed me back then, so I had to let her see I had made it.”
