Plateau United striker Vincent Temitope is recovering in the hospital after a disturbing incident. Following an NPFL match against Nasarawa United, Temitope was stabbed in the neck by a fan who posed as a supporter seeking a photo before turning violent.

The club has strongly condemned the incident, calling for action to address the growing issue of stadium violence in Nigerian football.
