Around 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, a fire broke out at The Honeysuckle Pub and Restaurant in Labone, Accra, affecting portions of the well-known restaurant.
The Ghana National Fire Service's (GNFS) prompt action contained the fire in the restaurant's kitchen and avoided significant damage.
Following their timely arrival, GNFS officers tried to contain the fire and stop its spread.
In order to protect rescuers and avoid possible reignition, representatives from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) were also on hand and disconnected the power.
Later, in a post on the Fire Service's official Facebook page, Assistant Division Officer Alex King Nartey gave an update on the situation and acknowledged the joint efforts of GNFS and ECG to secure the area.
