Radio Gold 905 FM has been thrown into mourning following the sudden passing of one of its cherished presenters, Alex Kwesi Ayensu Baah, popularly known on air as Okyeame Ayensu Badwenba.
In an official statement, management of the station described Okyeame as a dedicated broadcaster whose voice, passion, and commitment touched countless listeners over the years. His contribution to the growth of the station and his unique connection with audiences left a lasting impact on the Radio Gold family and the wider community.
“As we mourn this heartbreaking loss, we have put our normal programming on hold. We appreciate the understanding and patience of our cherished listeners during this difficult time,” part of the statement read.
Colleagues, listeners, and fans have since expressed deep sorrow, remembering him as a vibrant personality whose legacy in broadcasting will never be forgotten.
Management further extended condolences to his family and loved ones, praying for strength and comfort for them in this trying period.
Okyeame Ayensu Badwenba’s passing marks a significant loss not only to Radio Gold but also to the Ghanaian media landscape.
