Showboy Blasts Sarkodie for Excluding Him from Rapperholic: The Homecoming Concert

Ghanaian rapper Showboy, popularly known as Adanko, has taken aim at Sarkodie ahead of the much-anticipated Rapperholic. The Homecoming concert slated for Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Kumasi.

In a fiery outburst, Showboy expressed deep disappointment in King Sark, declaring that the BET Award-winning rapper has “eternally lost” his respect for failing to acknowledge him as a rapper and excluding him from the lineup.

“You know I am a boss, Adanko I am a boss, so you can’t mess around with me on this kind of issue,” he fumed.

“You can mess with guys like Kweku Smoke and the younger guys who hail you as bossu, bossu, but not me.”

Showboy further explained that his respect for Sarkodie had always been cushioned by family ties, particularly his admiration for Sarkodie’s brother, Manicombs, who he claims has consistently supported him. However, being left out of Rapperholic has, in his words, “crossed the line.”

“I love your brother very much to an extent because Manicombs dey help me in anything I do, that’s why I have been silent but for you to do Rapperholic and not even invite me means you’ve crossed the line,” he added.

His rant has sparked conversations across social media, with fans and industry observers split on the matter. While some argue that a self-proclaimed “boss” should not demand a slot but rather be booked based on merit, others point out that Showboy’s musical relevance and impact pale in comparison to acts like Kweku Smoke, who continue to dominate the new wave of Ghanaian rap.
