The Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE) has released a formal statement outlining disciplinary actions against Baltasar Ebang Engonga, popularly known as "Bello," in reaction to a recent sexual scandal that has damaged Equatorial Guinea's reputation.
According to the announcement, Ebang Engonga has been immediately suspended from his party membership as part of an internal disciplinary procedure that Vice President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue ordered.
The first step toward his possible termination and expulsion from public office is this suspension.
In an effort to preserve the nation's moral standards and reputation, the government and the PDGE have also urged the Attorney General to take legal action against anyone who sees or shares pornographic videos on social media.
The PDGE reiterates its dedication to upholding national integrity and respect during this time of increased public concern by urging citizens to ignore any rumors or false information that may be spreading on these developments.
