Prior to his appointment as deputy chief executive officer of Ghana’s most prestigious media personalities awards, president of PANAFRICA-GHANA Ras Caleb Appiah Levi has proposed the establishment of a fund to provide financial support to all media personalities and practitioners to enhance their operational capacity and promote excellence in the industry.
In a presser released yesterday 21st November 2024, the deputy chief executive officer of the production house and scheme outlined the need for the outlet to establish a fund to foster growth, innovation, and professionalism in the Ghanaian media landscape.
Below is his proposal to the board of directors of Foklex Media production and awards on the need to establish the Foklex Media Fund (FMF).

Objective:
To provide financial and material assistance to media personalities and practitioners, fostering growth, innovation, and professionalism in the Ghanaian media landscape.
Mission:
To empower media practitioners with resources, training, and networking opportunities, promoting high-quality content creation, ethical standards, and industry development.
Key Components:
Financial Support: Grants, loans, and sponsorships for media projects, research, and capacity-building initiatives.
Material Support: Equipment, software, and infrastructure provision for media outlets and practitioners.
Training and Development: Workshops, mentorship programs, and conferences focusing on industry trends, ethics, and best practices.
Networking Opportunities: Platforms for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and partnerships among media professionals.
Eligibility Criteria:
Registered media practitioners and outlets in Ghana.
Proof of concept or proposal for media projects.
Demonstration of financial need or resource constraints.
Implementation Strategy:
Establish a Fund Management Committee comprising industry experts and Foklex Media Production representatives.
Secure funding through sponsorships, donations, and partnerships.
