Isolirium Entertainment Submits Five Recordings for GRAMMY® Awards Consideration, Showcasing Ghana’s Global Sound

Independent record label Isolirium Entertainment has submitted five outstanding recordings for consideration at the GRAMMY® Awards, highlighting a unique blend of Ghanaian musical traditions, global influences, and cross-cultural collaborations.

The submissions represent a creative journey spanning Bolgatanga, Accra, and Austin, Texas, featuring three languages — Gurene, Ghanaian Pidgin, and English — while bringing together Ghanaian live instrumentation, traditional kologo sounds, contemporary rap, and international artistry.

The five recordings submitted across various GRAMMY® categories are:

“No Miracles” — Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance

“Lazy No Go Chop” — Best Global Music Performance

“Devil’s Game (Live)” — Best Traditional R&B Performance

“Preach” — Best Melodic Rap Performance

“Rock On” — Best R&B Collaboration or Duo/Group Performance

Among the submissions, “No Miracles” stands out as a powerful protest record built around dialogue rather than a typical feature format. The song brings together Ataman Nikita, Dr. Pushkin, and Jon Connor, with each artist representing a different perspective — Ghanaian roots, the Ghanaian diaspora experience, and American hip-hop culture. The record challenges society’s dependence on political figures and self-proclaimed miracle workers while encouraging personal responsibility.

Another notable submission, “Lazy No Go Chop,” captures a conversation between tradition and the diaspora. Featuring Stevo Atambire’s kologo performance, the song draws inspiration from the musical heritage of Ghana’s Upper East Region while combining Gurene, Pidgin, and English storytelling. Built around the Ghanaian proverb that “the lazy one will not eat,” the track celebrates resilience, hard work, and cultural identity.

“Devil’s Game (Live)” presents a raw live experience, recorded in one take with a four-piece Ghanaian band as part of the Cue Live Sessions. With no overdubs or grid correction, the recording captures the authenticity of Ataman Nikita’s performance and explores themes of ambition, morality, and personal choices.

The submission package also includes

“Preach,” a collaboration between Teebran and Dr. Pushkin that blends melody and rap in a seamless exchange, addressing perseverance and resistance against false idols. Meanwhile, “Rock On” delivers an alternative R&B collaboration built around endurance, hope, and the determination to keep moving forward despite challenges.

The creative minds behind the recordings include Paul Azunre (Dr. Pushkin), Richard Azunre (Ataman Nikita), Frederick Osei Akuoko, Jon Connor, Stevo Atambire, Mark Gariba, Teebran, and other talented Ghanaian and international contributors, with production credits going to Phredxter, AzkonnaBeatz, and Peewezel Emmanuel.
