Upper East Tertiary Awards Launch First-Ever Edition to Spotlight Student Impact

The Upper East Tertiary Awards (UETA) is a groundbreaking and visionary award scheme instituted to recognize, celebrate, and honor outstanding students across tertiary institutions in the Upper East Region of Ghana. This year marks the maiden edition of what is already being recognized as the biggest student festival in the region — a dynamic celebration of leadership, talent, innovation, and impact.

LAUNCHING DATE

The official launch of UETA 2025 took place on 9th August, 2024 at the Bolgatanga Technical University, where the vision, mission, and categories of the award scheme were unveiled to students, media, and stakeholders.

ABOUT THE AWARDS

UETA exists to celebrate students whose works, character, and influence have positively impacted their institutions and the broader society. While still in school, these young leaders, creatives, and professionals are already shaping communities, driving change, and redefining possibilities. UETA not only shines a spotlight on them but also provides a springboard for further growth and national recognition.

The platform brings together a wide network of stakeholders — including government officials, NGOs, student leaders, creatives, business entities, public figures, and tertiary students — all united by a common goal: the transformation of Ghana through youth leadership and innovation.
