In a critical advisory, the Government of Ghana has called on all Ghanaians residing in Lebanon to evacuate immediately, citing increasing unrest and security threats due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration made the urgent appeal as part of efforts to safeguard its citizens amidst rising tensions in the Middle East.

The Ghanaian Embassy in Cairo, alongside the Honorary Consulate in Beirut, has been mobilized to assist nationals without valid travel documents by issuing emergency travel certificates and facilitating exit permits. With limited flights available, the government is urging swift action by its citizens to avoid being caught in the escalating conflict.

This directive comes as part of global efforts by various governments to protect their citizens as Lebanon faces severe instability, with foreign nationals becoming increasingly vulnerable.

The Ghanaian government emphasized that this is a precautionary measure, and citizens are advised to prioritize their safety by taking advantage of any available flights out of the country.

For further assistance, the Ghanaian Embassy in Cairo and the consulate in Beirut remain open for consultations and arrangements to ensure a smooth evacuation process.
