A dramatic turn of events unfolded at the Accra High Court on October 23, 2025, when lawyers representing former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director Kwabena Adu-Boahene walked out of the courtroom, protesting the judge's refusal to grant an adjournment.

Hon. Raphael Worlasi Dogbey, Assembly Member of the Klefe Electoral Area and Member of the Ho Central Constituency communications team, weighed in on the development, describing the walkout as a diversionary tactic. "The walkout by the lawyers of Adu-Boahene is simply a diversionary tactic which they want to use to buy time for their troubled client," he said on the GBC Volta Star Radio morning show with Tony Mark-Boye.

Adu-Boahene, his wife Angela Adjei Boateng, and two others are facing multiple charges, including stealing, money laundering involving an alleged GH¢49.1 million, willfully causing financial loss to the state, and abuse of public office. The allegations surround Adu-Boahene's tenure as NSB Director, where he's accused of misappropriating funds meant for national security and other purposes.

Hon. Dogbey emphasized that justice will prevail, stating, "Crime has no expiry date. Even though the wheels of justice grind slowly, they grind to a halt eventually." He assured Ghanaians that efforts are underway to retrieve looted funds and bring perpetrators to justice. "All looted monies shall be retrieved in no time and the culprits punished duly," he added.

The case has been adjourned to October 30, 2025, for continuation.
