Spokesperson for Dr. Bryan Acheampong Eric Amoako Twum has revealed on GTV that the visionary idea by Dr. Bryan Acheampong to install CCTV cameras across Ghana has significantly strengthened the country’s security architecture.

According to him, the initiative, which was introduced as part of broader national security reforms, has improved surveillance, deterred crime, and enhanced the ability of law enforcement agencies to respond swiftly to incidents.

He noted that the presence of CCTV cameras in strategic public spaces has created a sense of alertness and accountability among both citizens and security operatives.

Speaking during a current affairs discussion on the state broadcaster, Mr. Amoako Twum explained that the CCTV system has been instrumental in crime detection and investigations.

He cited several instances where footage from the cameras helped police trace suspects, reconstruct crime scenes, and secure evidence for prosecution. He stressed that beyond crime control, the system has also supported traffic management and emergency response, making urban centers safer and more organized.

Eric Amoako Twum further called on delegates to look through some of these ideas implemented under his watch to make informed decisions about the NPP party in the upcoming elections.

He emphasized that Dr. Acheampong’s idea remains one of the most practical security interventions Ghana has seen in recent years, urging stakeholders to see it as a national asset rather than a partisan project.

According to him, sustained investment in technology-driven security solutions is key to safeguarding lives, protecting property, and building public confidence in Ghana’s security system.
