Conoil Production has been active in Nigeria's oil industry, helping to introduce and export the new "Obodo blend" crude oil grade. In 1991, Conoil (formerly Consolidated Oil) became the first Nigerian business to produce oil in commercial quantities after making a significant discovery in Ondo State's shallow seas.
