Ghanaians are looking up to the United Party to save Ghana - Solomon Owusu says after court nullified Kpandai Parliamentary results

Solomon Owusu, spokesperson for the United Party (UP), has stated that many Ghanaians are beginning to look to the UP for real political direction, arguing that both the NDC and NPP have failed to demonstrate the leadership needed to move the country forward.

Reacting to the recent court ruling that nullified the 2024 Kpandai Parliamentary results, Mr. Owusu said the development has reinforced public frustration with the two dominant parties.

According to him, citizens are increasingly yearning for an alternative political force that can offer clarity, competence, and credible governance.

He emphasized that the irregularities uncovered in the Kpandai election are a clear reflection of the systemic weaknesses that have plagued Ghana’s political landscape under the NPP and the returning officer must be prosecuted.

Mr. Owusu praised the judge for the bold decision, calling it a major step toward electoral accountability and a wake-up call for the major parties. He argued that the ruling has exposed the lapses in electoral management and underscored the need for a fresh political force that prioritizes fairness, transparency, and the will of the people.

Mr. Owusu further noted that the United Party is positioning itself as the alternative Ghanaians have long waited for, one that offers genuine solutions rather than recycled promises. He added that the momentum surrounding the party, especially after the court decision, shows that the public is ready for a new era in Ghanaian politics.

The UP, he stressed, is prepared to demonstrate responsible leadership, rebuild trust in democratic institutions, and provide the kind of governance that reflects the aspirations of ordinary citizens with a second chamber.
