
The North Tongu District Chief Executive, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, has officially launched a new era of development in the district, declaring the area a construction site. This bold move is expected to catalyze socio-economic growth and transform the lives of the people in the district.
The inaugural ceremony, held simultaneously at the various project sites, marked the commencement of several projects funded by the Common Fund, aimed at enhancing the district's educational and healthcare infrastructure. The initiatives include the construction of a 3-Unit Classroom Block at Mepe Presby JHS, a CHPS compound at Dorfor-Afaode, a 2-Unit KG Block at Dorfor Tagadzi/Atitekpoe DA Methodist JHS, and a CHPS compound at Battor Ayiwata, among others.
In her address, Hon. Amefadzi emphasized the importance of quality and excellence in the execution of the projects. She urged contractors to ensure timely completion, warning against shoddy work and emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability. "I expect these projects to be completed within the six-month agreement, and I will not hesitate to take action against any contractor who fails to meet the deadline or delivers substandard work," she said.
The Chiefs, Assembly Members, and community folks welcomed the projects, pledging their continued support for the government's development agenda. They expressed their gratitude to Hon. Amefadzi and the government for prioritizing the needs of the district and assured their cooperation in ensuring the successful implementation of the projects.
Hon. Amefadzi also called on the remaining communities to exercise patience, assuring them that her office is working tirelessly to ensure that every community benefits from the government's development initiatives. "We are committed to resetting Ghana, and no community will be left behind," she emphasized.
The event was attended by senior officials of the assembly, including the Presiding Member, DCD, Engineer, DFO, Education Director, Health Director, NADMO, and other dignitaries. The North Tongu District is poised to witness a significant transformation, and the community is eagerly awaiting the completion of these projects, which are expected to improve the quality of life of the people.
