PrepMaster, an exams, interview, and life-skills coaching platform, is now available to the Ghanaian public at prepmaster.com.gh. It is designed to help people prepare through short, daily practice on any phone, even without an internet connection across two domains: examinations, from school exams such as the BECE and WASSCE to professional and licensing exams such as nursing and midwifery; and visa preparation, helping anyone applying to travel, study, work, or join family abroad get ready for the interview and the application process.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of Ghanaians sit examinations that shape the rest of their lives. About 461,000 school candidates sat the 2025 WASSCE, yet fewer than half passed Core Mathematics (WAEC, 2025), and trainee nurses and other professionals face equally demanding licensing exams. Beyond the exam hall, many more — students, workers, traders, and families — face another decisive test: the visa interview. For most people, the proven routes to stronger preparation are either unaffordable, in the case of private tutoring, or hard to trust, in the case of the many ‘agents’ who promise visas they cannot deliver. PrepMaster was built to change that, for every one of these moments.
Rather than another textbook or video library, PrepMaster is a daily practice companion. Students get a free question of the day, build study streaks, and take timed mock exams matched to the real papers, with their progress and subject mastery tracked as they go. The platform is offline-first: it installs without an app store and lets students keep practising without using data, syncing automatically when they reconnect. Discovery, reminders, and support all happen on WhatsApp — the app students and parents already use most.
That ladder is deliberate. Beyond the classroom, PrepMaster supports learners preparing for professional and licensing examinations — with nursing and midwifery a flagship example — the exams that stand between a trained candidate and the right to practise. The same daily practice, mock exams, and progress tracking are applied to professional syllabuses, so candidates can prepare around shifts, placements, and family life, on whatever phone they own.
Visa preparation is where PrepMaster reaches farthest beyond the classroom. Every year, vast numbers of Ghanaians — students, professionals, traders, and families — apply to travel, study, work, or reunite with relatives abroad, and for many the interview is the most daunting hurdle of all. It is also a space crowded with costly ‘agents’ who promise the impossible. PrepMaster is the honest alternative: realistic mock interviews, practice with the questions applicants are actually asked, English-proficiency test practice where it is needed, and clear, plain-language guidance on each step of an application — so people can present their own genuine circumstances calmly and confidently. PrepMaster acts only as a preparation tool: it never lodges applications, acts as an agent, claims influence over a decision, or helps anyone misrepresent themselves, and it makes no promise of approval.
Affordability is built into the model — and so is flexibility in who pays. For school candidates, the guardian-pays option lets a parent, guardian, or working relative settle in seconds: the student starts, a payment link is sent over WhatsApp, and the guardian pays from their own Mobile Money wallet. Professionals and visa applicants simply subscribe for themselves. Either way, it costs a fraction of private tutoring — and far less than the fees ‘agents’ charge for visa help.

“In Ghana, too many doors come down to a single high-stakes moment — an exam, or an interview at an embassy — and too often the difference between getting through and falling short is whether you could afford good preparation or find someone honest to guide you,” said Ebenezer Baah, Head of the Digital Education Unit at CashPlanet Ltd, the company behind PrepMaster.
“We built PrepMaster for every one of those moments. It works on the most basic phone and costs a fraction of tutoring — or of the fees ‘agents’ charge. We make no promises about results, and we will never help anyone misrepresent themselves; the work, and the truth, stay with the applicant. What we can promise is that you walk in better prepared than you were the day before.”
PrepMaster is built in Ghana, for Ghanaians, and designed around trust. The guardian-pays option keeps parents involved for younger candidates; personal data is handled in line with Ghana’s data-protection requirements and kept in-country; and exam content is matched to current, legitimate syllabuses. PrepMaster acts only as a preparation tool: it does not lodge visa applications, charge for embassy services, claim influence over any decision, or help anyone present false information. It makes no guarantee of any examination result or visa outcome — only honest preparation to help people feel ready, on exam day and at the interview.
For many users, teachers, and guardians, the feature that matters most is simple: students can keep practising at home even when the data runs out.
