“Who Is lying”? Woyome Goes Hard On LOC Chairman For Spending $15 million To Feed Athletes At All African Games

In a brief discussion with Homebase TV, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome descended heavily on the LOC chairman, Dr. Asare after he came out to refute claims that the ministery fed athletes with $15 million.

Few months ago, the Ranking member for Sports committee on sports and other current Chairman of the Parliamentary committee made some revelations about the mismanagement and corruption happening at the ministry citing an exorbitant spending during the African games.

He revealed through investigations that the ministry spent $4.5 million on accreditation tags and $15 million dollars to feed athletes. However the LOC came out to quickly play down those revelations.

Hon. Kobena Woyome has however quizzed the chairman that who is telling the truth. He assured him that he will go into the matter and bring them to books no matter how long it will take.

“His reply to my statement has rather call for an open discussion where every Ghanaian want to know how much was spent if he is saying otherwise. I have a lot of informations and this revelations I did were just a precursor to a bigger thing. We will handle the issue just as he wants after our petition on “Save Ghana Football”, he added.
