Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) vice president and presidential contender for the 2024 election, has thanked the members of the 2024 NPP manifesto subcommittee.

Dr. Bawumia praised the chairpersons and vice chairs of the various committees, as well as committee members, for creating a thorough policy paper that was given to Ghanaians for the election at a meeting held at his home in Accra on Monday, December 23, 2024.

Dr. Bawumia stated, "I want to sincerely thank and appreciate all of you for your hard work and dedication in creating such a comprehensive document, which we presented to Ghanaians."

Dr. Bawumia expressed his pride in the committee members' efforts and the transformative proposals in the manifesto, which was given to the Ghanaian people for their consideration, regardless of the election's outcome.

Speaking further about the unexpected election result, Dr. Bawumia stated that despite the efforts of numerous individuals to introduce such a complete policy to Ghanaians, the party's success was impacted by the indifference of more than two million of its main supporters nationwide.

"It seemed like our people got together nationwide and decided not to cast ballots," Dr. Bawumia remarked.

As part of the reorganization process for the future, the vice president called for a thorough post mortem to determine why so many party members chose not to cast ballots and promised that the party will undertake a thorough investigation.

Dr. Bawumia advised members of the various manifesto committees to not believe that their efforts on the 2024 NPP Manifesto are in vain.

"Hopefully, this document will help us all in the future," he promised.

Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the chair of the 2024 Bawumia Campaign Manifesto Committee, was also in attendance.
