After a final results compilation, the Electoral Commission (EC) has proclaimed Martin Kwaku Adjei-Mensah Korsah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the Techiman South Member of Parliament-elect.

Adjei-Mensah Korsah received 46,663 votes to win his seat again, defeating Christopher Beyere Baasongti, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, who received 43,429 votes, according to Amartey Adjaottor, the returning officer for Techiman South.

Following protracted arguments in which both the NPP and the NDC first claimed victory in the constituency, this announcement was made.

Due to the dispute, the High Court ordered a recollection of the constituency's results in order to guarantee process fairness and transparency.

According to the court, 147 polling places in Techiman South had not yet been tallied.

After weeks of stress and legal actions leading up to the election, Adjei-Mensah Korsah's victory confirms the NPP's position in Techiman South.
