Due to a continuing curfew enforced by the Ministry of Interior, churches in the Oti Region's Nkwanta South township will observe their customary 31st Night services on a modified schedule.

To guarantee that attendees can safely take part in the festivities prior to the curfew starting at 8:00 p.m., services will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The senior pastor of Salvation Baptist Church and chairman of the Council of Churches in Nkwanta told Adom News that the change was required to put safety first while still giving members time to think and pray for the next year.

"In order for everyone to get home before the curfew hours, we have recommended all churches to hold their services early. For everyone's safety, it is imperative to keep the peace and follow the rules," he stated.

He urged Christians to take advantage of the time to thank God for the previous year and ask for his blessings for the one to come.

As the community welcomes 2025, the chairman emphasized the value of unity and urged citizens to cultivate a sense of peace and togetherness over the festive season.
