Conrad Dumbah, the chairman of the NDC-UK & Ireland Chapter, has expressed his hopes for efficient governance under President John Dramani Mahama's administration, stressing the significance of giving Ghanaians' demands top priority.

On January 10, 2025, Mr. Dumbah spoke on Eyewitness News' Point Blank segment, emphasizing the importance of tackling basic issues like access to electricity, water, and roads in order to guarantee improved living conditions and economic development.

"I'll use a catch-all term, good governance, which refers to meeting the needs and serving the public. Taking action entails examining the what and the how," he said.

Mr. Dumbah emphasized how urgently better road infrastructure is needed, calling the state of affairs dangerous and intolerable. In order to facilitate the government's 24-hour economy agenda, he also advocated for greater access to energy.

"What does good governance mean? It involves ensuring that the requirements of the people throughout the entire country are satisfied as well as those of every village we visited.

The feedback we received from the public during the campaign, when my UK team joined me, was occasionally depressing. How much does it cost to drill a borehole for an entire community? Water, boreholes.

It is a nightmare to get from Wa to Accra. It is a nightmare to cross from Bolga to Wa. It is essentially a death trap, even while traveling north from Accra. In order to support our 24-hour economy, he continued, "road infrastructure and electricity must be improved."

Mr Dumbah reiterated that addressing these critical needs would reflect the administration’s commitment to good governance and the well-being of all Ghanaians.
