I shall once again devote myself entirely to the nation's upcoming task—Bagbin

Alban Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament, has thanked the party's leadership for re-electing him to the position of Speaker of the ninth parliament, which has not yet been sworn in.

If elected speaker of Ghana's Ninth Parliament, he has promised to "do more than before" and give his all to the work at hand.

He expressed his gratitude to President-elect John Dramani Mahama for supporting him as the speaker of the Fourth Republic's 9th Parliament in a statement that included this information.

"His Excellency's confidence in my ability to lead the august House as we begin a new chapter in our nation's democratic journey deeply humbles me," Mr. Bagbin said.

"I have always been loyal to Ghana and dedicated to the values of justice, fairness, and respect for the rule of law throughout my years of service to Parliament and the people of Ghana."

He went on to say, "I would like to take this opportunity to assure the people of Ghana and the President-Elect, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, that I will dedicate myself fully to the task ahead of the country, working to strengthen our democratic institutions and to ensure that Parliament remains an effective and responsive institution to the needs and hopes of the people."
