Imam, Bono Regional Chief, dies

The Bono Regional Islamic Secretariat has confirmed the death of Sheikh Alhaji Umar Abdul Kadir Coulibaly, the Bono Regional Chief Imam, following a battle with sickness.

The Islamic community in the Bono Region is in great mourning following Sheikh Coulibaly's death on December 25, 2024.

He was a well-respected spiritual leader and supporter of the spread of Islam in the area, therefore his departure represents a great loss.

In keeping with Islamic traditions and conventions, the Bono Regional Islamic Secretariat has promised that funeral plans will be made public shortly.

For his commitment and priceless contributions to the spread of Islam in the Bono Region, Sheikh Alhaji Umar Abdul Kadir Coulibaly will live on in memory.
