Ofeibea Ramatu, the president of Professional Women for JM (PW4JM), has reiterated her dedication to enlightening and motivating Zongo communities to use their right to vote in the next elections.

She emphasised the need of actively participating in the political process while speaking at the Zalma Caucus' inauguration in Sowutuom, Greater Accra Region.

In Zongo areas, the PW4JM has stepped up its attempts to rally men, women, and young people in support of former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Ofeibea Ramatu emphasised in an interview with Adom News the significance of enabling Zongo citizens to combat intimidation and voter apathy. "Educating and motivating Zongo communities to exercise their franchise is our top priority. To make sure their voices are heard, it is imperative that all eligible voters cast ballots in the election, she said.

She also mentioned the difficulties encountered by tribes including Fulani, Hausa, Gawo, Zalma, and Zabrama, who have allegedly been intimidated and pressured to abstain from voting.

"We want to give them the tools they need to overcome these obstacles and support NDC parliamentary candidates and a visionary leader, John Dramani Mahama," she continued.

The recently appointed Sowutuom Zalma Caucus leader, Hajia Khadijatu Ali, vowed to dedicate herself to the cause. "I will put in endless effort to make sure John Dramani Mahama wins," she said.
