Mahama reaffirms his dedication to running Ghana for the welfare of the young and weak.

John Dramani Mahama, the incoming president, has reaffirmed his resolve to work both domestically and abroad to give Ghana's youth and vulnerable groups a better, more affluent future.




After meeting with the presidents of Gabon, Guinea Bissau, and Equatorial Guinea, the new president posted the comments on his official Facebook page.

Mr. Mahama emphasized how important it is for Ghana to maintain close ties with its friends and neighbors in West Africa and throughout the continent.

He disclosed that the discussions with the two African leaders were productive and covered topics such as looking at potential joint ventures in sustainable development, trade, and security.

"As part of my commitment to building solid connections with our geographical neighbors and friends in West Africa and on the continent, I recently concluded an amazing meeting with the presidents of Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, and Gabon.

"Our common ideals and goals for advancement throughout the continent were underlined during my conversations with the various leaders. In order to make sure that our alliances benefit not just our countries but also the people we serve, we discussed ways to work together in the areas of commerce, security, and sustainable development, Mahama said.

He emphasized a few of the conversations, mentioning the common ideals and goals for advancement that were covered in the sessions.

He was also hopeful that these collaborations would help the people they serve as well as the participating countries.

"I will keep working for a better, more prosperous future for our youth and the vulnerable, both inside and outside our subregion," he continued.
