Police inquiry bail has been granted to seventy (70) opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) sympathisers who were arrested nationwide for a variety of offences.

The Ghana Police Service claims that 123 individuals who were detained nationwide during the December 7 elections are currently undergoing the proper legal procedures.

Of them, sixteen have been granted bail, while forty-nine (49) suspects have been processed for court. Thirty-three (33) more have been remanded into police and jail custody in anticipation of their future court appearances.

Following Thursday night's attacks on government agencies, Police Head of Public Affairs Directorate ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi provided an update on the security situation.

She stated that four additional suspects were arrested in the last 24 hours, are currently in police custody, and will be processed for court on Friday, December 13, 2024.

Police claim that reports that Abraham Ato Annan, the vice chairman of the NDC Effutu Constituency, is missing are untrue and advise the public to ignore them.

The police said that Mr. Abraham Ato is doing well.
