During a segment on Wontumi TV, the Ashanti Regional NPP chairman revealed that his son tragically drowned at a critical time as the nation was preparing for the elections.

Chairman Wontumi expressed that he chose to publicly share this personal experience to demonstrate his deep commitment to the NPP.

This revelation came during a live broadcast in response to Rev. Owusu Bempah’s claims suggesting that the NPP was involved in his arrest several years ago.

He emphasized that despite the profound sorrow of losing his son, he remained steadfast in his support for Nana Addo, asserting that Owusu Bempah’s prophecy regarding John Mahama's potential presidency would not sway his dedication.
