President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned four newly constructed 40-bed district hospitals in the Ashanti Region. This is a significant milestone in Ghana's healthcare sector under the government's Agenda 111 initiative .

The hospitals, located in different districts across the region, are designed to improve healthcare delivery and reduce pressure on larger hospitals. Each hospital is equipped with modern medical facilities, including emergency units, maternity wards, outpatient departments, laboratories, and staff accommodations .
The President emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare for all Ghanaians. "These hospitals are part of our broader vision to make healthcare accessible to every Ghanaian, no matter where they live," he stated .
The Minister of Health, Dr. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, described the commissioning as a "game changer" for the region. "These facilities will not only improve healthcare but also create job opportunities for medical professionals," he said .
The commissioned hospitals are part of a larger network being developed under the government's flagship Agenda 111 program. The initiative aims to construct 111 hospitals across the country to close healthcare delivery gaps and strengthen Ghana's health system .
