The incident occurred when Mahama was being transported back to his office after attending a funeral. However, before the car he was driving left, Appiah was seen dashing up to it, defying all security regulations.

The guards tried to stop him, but he persisted and made his way past them. He approached Mahama's car and waved at him through the window before retreating.

Ghanaians' reactions to the incident have been divided, with many denouncing his behavior. They claimed that he has made it a habit of breaking rules during public events where the president is on television in order to get fame.

Some have suggested that he discontinue his theatrics because to their poor quality. They claimed that he is only interested in gaining public recognition.
