Former President John Agyekum Kufuor seems to be sending mixed signals with his endorsements

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor seems to be sending mixed signals with his endorsements. Back in 2020, he fully supported President Akufo-Addo, praising his economic policies and development projects, and urging Ghanaians to re-elect him. However, he's now throwing his weight behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's Presidential Candidate, claiming he's the best person to revive Ghana's economy .

Kufuor has expressed strong confidence in Bawumia's economic management skills, highlighting his past successes with the Bank of Ghana. He even described Bawumia as the "best man Ghana needs at this moment" and a "man of destiny" . This sudden shift has raised eyebrows, with some questioning Kufuor's consistency.

It's worth noting that Alan Kyerematen, another key figure in the NPP, thinks Kufuor should have remained impartial in the elections, avoiding endorsements that could expose him to ridicule and insults.

What do you think about Kufuor's endorsements? Do you think he's being inconsistent or just adapting to changing circumstances?
