The government has also signed agreements for the construction of new standard gauge lines, including the Manso to Huni Valley railway line project . Additionally, the rehabilitation of the Railway Training School and two location workshops has been completed .

Well, the Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA) is the organization responsible for promoting the development of railways and railway services in Ghana .
The GRDA's objectives include promoting the development of railways, holding and administering railway assets, and promoting the development and management of suburban railways .
Some of the ongoing projects include the 97-kilometer Tema-Mpakadan railway line, the 97-kilometer Takoradi Port to Huni Valley railway line, and the 70-kilometer Kumasi to Obuasi railway line .
The Ministry of Railways Development is also working on transforming the Western Railway Line, with a signed agreement worth $3.2 billion .
