Haruna Iddrisu, a prominent figure in Ghana's politics, has expressed his concerns about President Nana Akufo-Addo and former Speaker Prof. Mike Ocquaye's actions, warning them about the potential consequences of their decisions. This comes at a time when public trust in leaders is waning, with many Ghanaians feeling let down by unfulfilled promises, especially regarding economic management and environmental concerns.

Iddrisu's frustrations stem from his experience as a former Minority Leader in Parliament, where he actively cautioned the government about its policies and potential fallout. He believes the precedents set by the President and Ocquaye could lead to significant issues down the line.

*Key Concerns:*

- _Lack of Accountability_: Iddrisu perceives a lack of accountability from the leadership.

- _Environmental Concerns_: Illegal mining activities (galamsey) have severely impacted local communities and the environment.

- _Economic Management_: Unfulfilled promises have led to widespread dissatisfaction.

Iddrisu has been vocal about these issues, particularly galamsey, and has called for President Akufo-Addo to resign due to his failure to effectively combat it. He pointed out that the President pledged to put his job on the line in 2017, but the situation has only worsened since then.

It's worth noting that Iddrisu's warnings are not isolated. There have been other instances where he has spoken out against the government's actions, such as the delay in assenting to the Criminal Offences (Amendment) Bill, 2022, which makes it an offense to accuse anyone of being a witch .

Overall, Iddrisu's comments reflect a broader sentiment among those dissatisfied with the current state of governance in Ghana.
