: At the 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Institution of Engineering and Technology Ghana (IET-GH), Executive Director Engr. Seth Ayim presented a comprehensive and optimistic Annual Report for 2024. He highlighted the institution's growth, innovation, and dedication to promoting engineering excellence across Ghana.
*Key Achievements:*
- _Improved Internal Systems_: IET-GH enhanced its secretariat with a second internet source and initiated a transition from manual to electronic filing.
- _Membership Growth_: The institution established new student chapters at leading universities, including KNUST, RMU, and Accra Technical University.
- _Scholarship Program_: IET-GH awarded scholarships to five exceptional students, bringing the total number of recipients to 15.
- _Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programs_: IET-GH successfully conducted 32 out of 41 planned CPD programs, including the Cement Academy program.
*Challenges and Future Plans:*
IET-GH faced challenges, including its tenancy situation with the Ghana Museum and Monuments Board. Despite these challenges, the institution remains committed to advancing the engineering profession in Ghana. Engr. Ayim expressed confidence that the progress made in 2024 will lay the foundation for greater achievements in the future .
