IGP and police commanders worship with churches in Ghana to promote peace ahead of 2024 elections.

The Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, is taking a unique approach to ensure peaceful elections in Ghana. On Sunday, November 24, 2024, he joined various church congregations across the country, along with senior police officers, to promote peace and unity ahead of the elections .




Dr. Dampare emphasized the importance of gratitude, reflecting on God's blessings and the progress Ghana has made as a nation. He also acknowledged the role of churches and Ghanaians in maintaining law and order.

The IGP encouraged Christians to remain agents of peace and to partner with the police in maintaining security. He also urged citizens to back their prayers with action, ensuring that their actions align with their values .

Dr. Dampare assured the churches that the police are fully prepared to ensure peaceful elections. He concluded by encouraging Ghanaians to vote for their preferred party and then rally behind the Ghana flag, symbolizing unity and patriotism .
