Mustapha Gbande, the NDC's Deputy General Secretary and Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, has sent a stark message to former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

According to Mustapha Gbande, if Ken Ofori Atta goes to heaven and returns, he will be arrested, prosecuted, and imprisoned.

He claimed that Ken Ofori-Atta held the public purse, which was misused by the previous Akufo-Addo administration.

Speaking on JOY NEWS. Mustapha Gbande stated, "When you are on the wrong side of the state, any part of the state can come after you. I don't work at National Security, but I am just saying that I won't sit here and speak to the grounds on which National Security should invade or not invade. If you go to National Security, the majority of the people who work there are military and police officials.

Ken Ofori Atta declared that if he went to heaven and came back down, he would be arrested, prosecuted, and imprisoned, and no amount of clamor would stop that.

Mustapha Gbande went on to say, "He was the holder of the public purse, and the public purse has been misused; are you not aware that the NPP government misused our state funds? Are you not aware that he stole money? Are you not aware that any cheque that went to a contractor or a government institution where funds were misused came from Ken Ofori-Atta?

Are you unaware that the SML deal was a scandal? So I'm just saying that the state has the authority to arrest you in a Rambo-style manner, to invite you to a party, to accompany you on a party, to use soldiers as drivers, and to invite those who question why soldiers were used by President Akufo-Addo's regime.

His remarks came after OSP Kissi Agyebeng proclaimed Ken Ofori-Atta a fugitive for failing to appear for questioning in corruption-related investigations.

Ken Ofori Atta has been accused of causing financial loss to the state in a number of transactions, including the construction of the iconic National Cathedral and Ghana Revenue Authority's - Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML).

Meanwhile, the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has stated that former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta will cooperate with investigators.
