Chaos erupted at a polling station in Asawase when Manaf Ibrahim, the NPP's Parliamentary Candidate, decided to wait in line with regular voters instead of taking advantage of the preferential treatment usually given to candidates. This move sparked a heated reaction from NDC supporters, who perceived it as a political stunt.

It's worth noting that Manaf Ibrahim has been involved in politics for some time. He was previously an aide to the Vice President but was relieved of his position in 2019 due to a court row with the NPP over his parliamentary bid .

Despite the tensions, voting was able to proceed without significant delays. Election observers were present to monitor the situation and ensure the polling process continued smoothly.
