With Ghana's General Elections just around the corner, Dr. Joseph Yamin, National Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), is emphasizing the urgent need for change. He's surprised that anyone experiencing the current state of Ghana would doubt that change is coming.

Dr. Yamin strongly criticizes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government's performance, describing it as a complete failure. He points out alarming economic disparities, such as the exchange rate, which has skyrocketed from 4 cedis to 17 cedis per US dollar under the NPP. The price of a bag of cement has also jumped from 16 cedis to 105 cedis.

To address Ghana's unemployment crisis, Dr. Yamin proposes a "24-hour economy" and the NDC's three-shift system, "1:3:3". This would enable institutions like hospitals to operate around the clock, creating more job opportunities for skilled professionals.

The NDC is committed to creating opportunities for these professionals, and Dr. Yamin believes that with the 24-hour economy policy, Ghana can tap into its oversupply of skilled professionals and drive national development.
