Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has emerged victorious in the Ahafo Ano North constituency after a re-collation of election results.
The re-collation was necessitated by disputes over the initial results, which were marred by violence and chaos at the Ahafo Ano North Collation Centre in Tepa.
Agyemang-Prempeh secured 20,353 votes, narrowly beating his closest rival, Kwasi Adusei of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who garnered 20,232 votes.
The Electoral Commission (EC) conducted the re-collation under tight security at its Greater Accra Regional Office, ensuring a peaceful and transparent process.
