Ghana is making a significant move towards sustainable transportation with the introduction of electric buses. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to reduce Ghana's carbon footprint and promote sustainable development .

The electric buses have been designed with improved accessibility features, making them more inclusive for people with mobility challenges. They're also expected to reduce transportation costs by up to 40-50%, making public transport more affordable and efficient for Ghanaians.

Ghana aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 15% by 2030, as part of its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC). The introduction of electric buses is a significant step towards achieving this goal .

With this move, Ghana is poised to become a leader in sustainable transportation in West Africa. The government plans to purchase 100 electric buses by the end of 2024, marking a major milestone in Ghana's transportation sector .
