Work has commenced on the 6-kilometre Savelugu-Kumbungu and Dipale-Gusei Lot1 and Lot2 roads in the Savelugu Municipality of the Northern Region.
The project, funded by the Government of Ghana, aims to improve the quality of existing roads, facilitate mobility, and enhance trade and services within and between communities.
The project is expected to be completed within 12 months. Two local Ghanaian contractors, Messrs Takara Bigiza Ventures Ltd and M INsaan company Ltd, are executing the project.
Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz, the New Patriotic Party Parliamentary candidate for Savelugu Constituency, joined traditional leaders and residents to cut the sod for the project's commencement.
