When the Speaker announced to the House that he had received the order of the Supreme Court to stay the Speaker's ruling or statement vacating the seats of the 4 MP's, the Speaker SHOULD or NEEDED to inform the House of the SC.Such announcement did not require a decision by the House. In my humble opinion, the Speaker erred.

When the Speaker announced to the House that he had received the order of the Supreme Court to stay the Speaker's ruling or statement vacating the seats of the 4 MP's, the Speaker SHOULD or NEEDED to inform the House of the decision of the SC to stay the Speaker's earlier decision. Such announcement did not require a decision by the House. In my humble opinion, the Speaker erred.

That ingnorant Afienya Markin, the former majority leader can go to hell as far as I am concern. He is a timid politician who doesn’t understand the laws of the separation of power between the legislature, the Supreme Court and the executive. He should go back to law school to learn more to upgrade his legal status.

If supreme court is saying that one cannot vacate a seat because of his intention to go independent in the next election, then what seat is Article 97 is referring to? What seat must one vacate if he/she decides to go independent? If it is not the seat the person is occupying now, then what seat is Article 97 is referring to. The word "vacate" is clear; if you have not yet sat on a seat, you don't vacate it. Speaker is right.
Secondly why should supreme court be so worried about constituents not having a representative in parliament for only a few days, while they were adamant in letting the Santrokofi etc live for close to 8 years without a representation in parliament, what a double standard? The Supreme Court is biased, lost their integrity, tweaaaaa!

Someone should advice Bagbin that no one or institution is greater than the judiciary despite the separation of powers. In a few days time he will no more going to be significant. End up well to save your built up reputation.
