Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has sent a strong warning to anyone he believes could contest the NPP's predicted win in the next elections. Abronye warned that anyone trying to thwart the NPP's victory in the Bono Region would suffer severe repercussions while addressing a sizable gathering of party supporters during a "Regional Victory Walk" in Wenchi.
He warned that the betrayers would suffer a destiny akin to that of the victims of the 2020 Techiman election shooting, which claimed three lives and critically injured six more. During his speech, Abronye mentioned the party's assurance that it will win the general election handily and urged opponents to drop all attempts to contest the results.
He made it clear that any meddling would not be tolerated. Stephen Ayensu Ntim, the national chairman of the NPP, also spoke at the event and urged supporters in the Wenchi Constituency to retake the parliamentary seat. He emphasized the constituency's symbolic importance as the residence of K.A. Busia, one of the NPP's founding members, and urged supporters to uphold his legacy by winning elections.
