According to Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to win 14 of the 16 regions in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential primary on Saturday, January 31. He also projected that Dr. Bawumia would win handily in the party's heartland, the Ashanti Region.
"Yes, [Bawumia will win in 14 regions out of 16 regions]," Mussa Dankwah stated on Wednesday, January 28, while speaking on Channel One TV's The Point of View with Bernard Avle. According to Mussa Dankwah, every piece of information indicates that the former vice president has won.
"Every area we have examined points in one direction, and that direction is that Bawumia will win this Saturday's election with ease," he declared. Mussa Dankwah claims that the Global InfoAnalytics model, which accounts for a three percent margin of error, estimates Dr. Bawumia's vote share at between 54 and 60 percent.
He clarified, "Based on our model, his lowest score will be 54 percent, which is the 57 percent we are giving him less the three percent margin of error, or he could get up to 60 percent." He ascribed the projection's confidence to the data's consistency."Bawumia's results are more steady in terms of fluctuation, so I am pretty confident in them. The data is free of noise, he continued.
Mussa Dankwah pointed out that although other candidates, such as Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and Dr. Bryan Acheampong, might perform better, it is still unclear how they will divide up the votes. Between January 20 and January 23, 2026, 10,133 people nationally participated in the NPP 2026 Presidential Primaries Prediction Survey. The country's 272 constituencies and all 16 regions were included in the survey.
